Trained DISCIPLE leaders, or those who have completed DISCIPLE I, can volunteer to teach DISCIPLE Bible Study within the prison. Those with no DISCIPLE experience can volunteer as an assistant. Welcome Duke Interns

DBOM is proud to join with Duke Divinity School, the Duke Endowment, and two congregations in offering field education placements.

Four new Duke Divinity School interns have begun field education work with DBOM.  Two of these students will be in dual placements with a local church and two will work exclusively with DBOM.

“We are pleased to join in the important work of educating our clergy and providing them with hands-on experience in prison ministry.  We are also very happy that these students will experience local church ministry from some of our strongest DBOM supporting churches in the area.” says Mark Hicks, President.
