Letters From Prison
"The DISCIPLE Bible Outreach Program, based upon feedback from Chaplains, program staff, custody staff, administrators, and most importantly, inmates, is in a league of its own in terms of the impact it has on the participants. Moreover, it is apparent that this study moves to a higher plane the level of caring and compassion of those participating and has a positive influence upon the prison environment at large. It is my opinion that this success directly correlates to both the content of the study and the intense dedication of the volunteers, who take seriously Christ's mandate to visit the prison, give of themselves week after week after week. Though many persons have already been touched in such a way as to change their lives, I am convinced that we ain't seen nothing yet! As an employee of the DOC with more than 20 years of experience ministering to incarcerated persons, I know my clients are deserving of all we can do for them. I thank all who are responsible for DISCIPLE Bible Outreach Ministries and I strongly encourage its continued expansion."

"Before I started this Bible study I was in all the wrong things. I was approached by two Brothers and asked me if I would like to try this Bible Study. I asked what it was like, and they told me it was more of a family bonding. So I said why not.
On September 10, 1996 I started this Bible Study and I just can't really explain how much love I have received from the guys in the group, and I am able to show more love than I have ever before, and I have really never read the Bible like I am doing now. This study and Mac and Vern are such a blessing in my life.

I have been so blessed by this class. I can be so happy with all that God has showed this class. I hope to go on doing the will of God and not my will. "When I first became aware of the DISCIPLE Study, I had hoped that I would get a chance to get involved. Upon praying for this chance, I was blessed to be involved in the Summer Study, which led to the DISCIPLE Study. I had always wanted to know, to learn, and to be able to share the truth concerning the Word of God. I have found with DISCIPLE, I have been enlightened, with a craving to know more and share.
I've tried a few Bible Study programs before, but upon getting involved with DISCIPLE, none has helped me as much as DISCIPLE.
Learning about my Lord and Savior, the impact he had and continues to have on my life. Knowing Him and expressing from my heart how He has changed me.
I would have never expected how close we and the children of Israel are. How close we follow them But as I continue to study I'm thankful for the Spiritual growth I've received, applying what I've learned. And being willing to help people to understand more and willing to go the extra miles.
Had it not been for the Study, my growth in the Word, how I treat people and most important how I handle problems that sometimes comes up."

"What this DISCIPLE class means to me is a better understanding of what God and my Lord and Savior means to me and my family.
From this class I have grown to see the love of God for all men and women, and what God would sacrifice to show His love for me and you.
I have also felt the joy of knowing and worshipping a wonderful Lord. What this DISCIPLE class means to me is a group of men who loved the Lord and come together to fellowship and have a good time in the name of Jesus.
